FRANK's Story
After High school I went right into the Air Force , and found out that I didn't know anything as an 18y/o, I worked as a Firefighter in the Air Force. When I left the service in 78 I became a firefighter at the VA Dom in Aug 78 an assailant shot me in the chest while I was on duty, I also worked at Central Point city FD, and became a Paramedic. shortly, after that I met the love of my life Dove (Baldwin), and reentered the service this time in the Army as a combat medic with the infantry. In 85 I went to SF school and decided that my career was less important then my family and got reassigned to the 1st Inf Division, after that I retired from the 11th Cavalry, and am a life member of the Blackhorse Assoc. and the Border legion. 2005 I left the clinic and my wife to take a contract in the Middle east as a security operative, 9/11 didn't make my day I had to get back into the mix. After that I came home and got remarried and went to work as a security specialist for Gunderson in Portland. I didn't like Portland so we moved to Grants Pass and I worked for ENT Assoc. until we moved to Bend, where I went to college and got certified as a forklift operator and welder, was working on a degree in manufacturing technology but the VA said no. I am now 90% disabled and work part time at Sportsman's Warehouse in Bend and will retire for real in about a year and a half and plan on living out the rest of my life in Peace. Unless of course the country needs me again, but hoping that they don't because I'm tired. And am now divorced, so the love of my life wasn't. Moving on
